We will accept requests via mail, fax, e-mail & phone.
Any book, audio or video that is currently on the shelf is available
for in-state loan.
Items with numerous patron reserves will not be loaned. We will,
however, place a reserve on the item for in-state libraries if their patron
is willing to wait until all local reserves are filled.
Items that are not easily available at other locations (i.e., Jackson
County genealogical material)are available for in-state loan.
Magazines are not available for loan. However, we are willing to
photocopy and mail a particular article if we have all pertinent information.
The normal loan period is 3 weeks from date of receipt for books
and audios, 2 weeks from date of receipt for videos and speciality items.
Patrons cannot make requests themselves, they must go through their
local library in order to receive books from our library.
Out of State
Items that are not easily available in other states(i.e, West Virginia
and Jackson County genealogical material) are available for out-of-state
loan.
Out-of-state requests must be made by mail or fax. E-mail and phone
requests are accepted rarely.

The out-of-state loan period is normally 2 weeks from date of receipt.
Arrangements can be made to extend this period.

The library will not loan newspaper or census microfilm out-of-state.
If an item is not available at the time of the request, we will
hold the request until the item is available and mail it at that time.
If an item is rare and/or we only have one copy we will not loan
out-of-state. If that is the case, we will notify the library as soon as
possible that the request has been denied.
All requests for out-of-state loans must come from a library, genealogical
society, or historical society. Individuals cannot request on their own.
