The library does not know the title of the next Oprah book until the day it is announced on her show. At that point, it then takes at least a week for the book to be ordered and processed. We will begin taking reserves on the title as soon as it is announced. Reserves are on a first come/first serve basis. Our Oprah Book Club collection is located on the top of one of the fiction shelves. Look for the picture of Oprah!

Oprah asks you to read the chosen book and to write to the show with your thoughts, opinions, and insights on the book. Four viewers are then chosen to have dinner with Oprah and the author.

Many ask about the deadlines for submitting comments on Book Club books and the response from Oprah's staff is "the sooner the better," after the title is announced. They don't set deadlines, because they don't want to be swamped with last-minute entries.

You can write Oprah with your comments about the book via the web at America Online (go to "keyword" and type "Oprah") or you can write to her at:
