There are a few different online platforms many libraries offer to patrons. We at Jackson County Public Library offer an online database through WV READS, which is available on Overdrive, or Libby (by Overdrive).
To use Overdrive and Libby, you must have a PIN number connected to your library account. This usually is 4 to 6 characters, though 4 numbers is the most popular PIN option.
If you do not remember your PIN number, you can reset it through our online catalog. Follow the steps given in the pictures below.
If you do remember your PIN number, but it is not allowing you to sign in, your account may be expired. Please call in, as we are the only way to keep your account up-to-date. Please have your library card number handy. Things we will ask:
- What is your current address?
- What is the best phone number to reach you at?
- Do you use an email address, and would you prefer us to update you on overdue items at that email address?
- Other questions may need to be asked in order to update your account.
If you have any other questions concerning the use of Libby, Libby’s help center is user-friendly, and has a variety of tutorials in-app.
At this time, we do not have a walk-through for the OverDrive app, but one is in the making. Stay tuned for updates!
